A general performance can either be prepared out and rehearsed (practiced)—that is the norm in classical music, jazz big bands, and lots of well-liked music styles–or improvised above a chord development (a sequence of chords), and that is the norm in modest jazz and blues groups. Rehearsals of orchestras, live performance bands and choirs are
